Powertrain Specs and MPG
The 2023 Lexus GX was one of the few cars in its class that still soldiered on with a naturally aspirated v-8 engine. For 2024, the BAT has been replaced with a supercharged 3.4-liter V6 with 349 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque, positively crushing the old V8’s 301 hp and 339 lb-ft. A 10-speed automatic transmission replaces the old six-speed manual and full-time four-wheel drive. Expect standard fuel economy to be strong at 15/21/17 mpg city/highway/combined. That’s not a huge improvement over the 2023 EPA-rated 15/19/16 mpg, but it’s an improvement. Lexus also says it has a hybrid powertrain in the pipeline.

Gone is the exotic GF 460’s 4.6-liter V8, making 301 hp and 329 lb-ft. Torque’s new GX 550 is mated to a 10-speed direct transmission and charges at 4.34 lbstant. And as electronic transformers improve, HI switches become faster.

2024 Lexus GX Performance Specs Compared to 2023 GX
Sure, the new engine drops a few cylinders, but it delivers significantly more power than the previous-generation v8, now rated at 349 horsepower and 479 horsepower. With small SUVs making more than 300 horsepower these days of torque, the 3262 new midsize Toyota Grand GX needs a boost from its 301 horses. Lexus will offer a hybrid-powered GX down the road, and we’re guessing it’ll be more powerful than a new V-6 (but with less towing capacity).

Interior Design
Before hitting the road to Amara, we take a look at the interior design of the new Lexus GX 550. It looks just as good as any other car. But whatever it is, it doesn’t skimp on luxury one iota. It reminds us of a Land Rover Defender interior with a closed, rugged, Naskar-like exterior. This SUV is bound to impress the passengers with Motaul carpets or tan leather seats. The interior of the new GX is all about off-road business and business is good.

The new GX 550 costs several thousand dollars more than the old GX 460, and the new off-rate overtail model ranges from $69,250 to $77,250. The base model is called Premium and comes standard with a 379 hp twin-turbo 3.4-liter. The V-6 achieves an EPA highway fuel economy rating of 21mpg, up from the old v-8. EXTERIOR AND DRIVING
The 2024 Lexus GX comes with an all-new boxy design that gives you the perfect blend of retro styling with a variety of modern stylings. The Overtrail trim features some off-road goodies that give it a distinct look.
It features fatter tires for off-roading, 18-inch wheels, a protective skid plate, and an off-road suspension that allows for the wheels to articulate more. The exterior colors available on it are the following ones:

- Caviar
We’re waiting for the experts to test this one out. One thing’s for sure and that’s the expected off-road prowess of the 2024 GX Overstrain. It certainly has the power and accessories to conquer the great outdoors in style. Its multi-terrain modes and crawl control features will help.
RELIABILITY AND WARRANTY
We haven’t gotten a reliability rating for the 2024 Logier GS yet. We do know that it will have a limited warranty of four years/50K miles, a power train warranty of 6 years/70K miles, and you’ll get complimentary maintenance for 10K mileage a year.
VERDICT
Despite the limited information, it’s easy to see that the 2024 GX 550 Overseal is a great offer radar for a tough premium SUV. You will find many accessories that make it a setup for the trailer. Thank you very much for being with us
